Reflective Writing & Transfer: First-Year Composition Resource Hub
This Research Hub is designed to support First-Year Composition (FYC) instructors, educators integrating digital and real-world writing, faculty committed to equity-driven, student-centered teaching, and curriculum designers focused on writing transfer frameworks.
The two courses of Rhetoric & Composition I and Rhetoric & Composition II offer pedagogically grounded, multimodal resources for First-Year Composition (FYC) aligned with Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). Centered on linguistic justice, genre awareness, metacognition and reflection, it supports writing transfer across academic, digital, and real-world contexts.
All available resources emphasize rhetorical reflection, genre-based scaffolding, multimodal composition (video, podcasts, social media), inclusive and anti-racist pedagogy, and collaborative, real-world writing through discourse community analysis and media production.
